Telford Tigers welcome back netminder Denis Bell for the upcoming season. 19yr old Bell was at Tigers for two seasons from 2014/15, playing over 50 games for the NIHL team as well as providing cover for the Tigers EPIHL team. Since then he has played for Manchester Phoenix and Deeside Dragons. Tigers coach and General Manager Tom Watkins is keen to tap into the potential of his new netminder. Watkins said of Denis ‘I think he comes back to the Tigers with a point to prove, when he came here he was a very young goalie to be our number 3, this time he is here as our starting goalie. There is perhaps more expectation than he has had previously but I think that will bring out the best of him.’ Watkins added, ‘He is a very confident young man, with the ability and potential to thrive here. He knows Telford and feels settled here.’
As for Denis himself, he is looking forward to putting on the Tigers jersey again, saying,’ I’m looking forward to being a part of the team, playing for the Tigers this season. I’ve played here in Telford before and can honestly say it’s a great place to be, and a great team to be part of. I’m looking forward to seeing what the season will throw at me and progressing my game here in Telford.’
