Telford Tigers are pleased to announce the return of James Smith to the Tigers 2 roster for the upcoming season.
Tigers 2 player coach Callum Bowley is delighted to have resigned Smith commenting: “Smithy was one of the first to agree to come back for another season. He’s a close friend, a very experienced and talented player despite his age.”
The 23-year-old boasts a skilful hockey CV having played 44 games in the Elite League, split between his hometown club the Dundee Stars and the Fife Flyers along with 76 EPIHL games with the Tigers and Basingstoke Bison. Since the 2013/14 season, Smith has been a key component with natural talent in the Telford Tigers roster, including last season where the forward bagged 78 points in only 19 games.
Bowley added: “He provides a huge offensive threat, sees the ice well, knows where the net is and often proves to be a nightmare for opposition teams. He’s a key player for us.”
Smith himself is pleased to be returning to Tigers 2 again this season saying: “I’m glad to be back again and feel confident that the team which Bowley will put together will win us some silverware this season!”
James’ #94 own and loan shirts are available to order now for £50 each (Home and Away). Please see the own and loan registration page for more details and to register.
