Telford Tigers are pleased to announce the return of Barry Hollyhead and Karl Creamer as Assistant Coaches to Head Coach Tom Watkins. Both coaches were part of the backroom staff during last season’s double triumph and bring a wealth of experience to the Tigers staff.
Barry commented, “After the season got cut short there was disappointment as it was a good season but it could have been a great season if the playoffs were played. It’s been a very tough off season for everyone so I’m happy to be back helping Tom and the team to see what we can achieve this season. I can’t wait to get started again.”
Karl commented, “I’m really pleased and looking forward to being involved with the Tigers again next season. I love working with Tom and Barry and I’m grateful for being kept on as part of the team. I’m sure with the hard work Tom has put in during the off-season, we will have a team capable of winning more trophies.”
Tom Watkins, Head Coach and General Manager, said, “I’m delighted to once again be assisted by Barry and Karl. Both are great guys and also close friends and have been an integral part of the club’s success over a number of seasons. They provide me with the support I require and are very knowledgeable about the game, the league and individual players along with the habits and tendencies of teams after years of being behind the bench.They have supported me through both the good and bad times and I think we make a solid coaching group. They are both very passionate about the club having both played for the Tigers during their playing days. We are all looking forward to getting behind the bench once again.”
In the 2020/21 season, Tigers are again offering individual player sponsorship at £400. The package will include a personalised ‘SPECIAL’ exclusive third jersey with a company name or family name patch, announcements on match nights, a small advert or logo in the match night programmes and a signed player photo. The jersey will be worn for cup games and play-off games and will not be available as a replica.
