The club can confirm that an application was submitted for Telford Tigers 2, to join the NIHL North 1 Moralee Division for the 2025/26 season and has now been accepted.
This decision has not been taken lightly following ongoing dialogue with England Ice Hockey and a thorough internal review of our long-term player development strategy. As a club, we remain firmly committed to offering a clear and competitive pathway for players aiming to progress to a professional level.
Over the last three seasons, Telford Tigers 2 has enjoyed tremendous success securing seven titles including last season’s historic treble. While we are immensely proud of these achievements, we now believe it is the right time to seek a new challenge that will better support the team’s continued growth and ambition.
We’re equally proud that Telford Tigers 2 has directly contributed to the development of at least 24 players who have progressed from our squad to play for senior teams both in Telford and beyond. This includes clubs in the NIHL National League, with several players even going on to represent Great Britain.
This move will introduce an exciting new chapter and serve as a crucial step in bridging the gap between junior-level progression and NIHL National competition.
