Corey Goodison Not Returning.

Telford Tigers are disappointed to announce that Corey Goodison will not be returning for the 2023/24 season.

Corey, has been at the club since 2015 and has earned a reputation as one of the best puck moving defenseman in the league. Corey leaves having won three National League titles and a National League Cup in his time at the club. Telford Tigers would like to wish Corey all the best for the future and are grateful for his service over the last eight years.

Tom Watkins, Head Coach and General Manager, said, “Corey came to Telford as a young hungry guy, worked extremely hard and was very dedicated, a great example to any young player coming through of the effort and determination required to progress. Corey has developed no end and played a pivotal role in some very successful seasons with the Tigers winning three league titles plus other successes in his time with the club. He formed a very strong partnership with Jonathan Weaver over the years and they complimented each other very well. We will miss his presence on and off the ice, but he is leaving with the club’s best wishes and thanks for his dedication and professionalism.”

With Corey leaving, it also means that Corey’s father – Martin Snead – will no longer be assisting on match nights. Martin was part of the club’s off ice team as a trainer / equipment  assistant and was always on hand to support the players on and off the ice. Telford Tigers would like to thank Martin for his commitment to the club over the years and wish him well for the future.”

Tom Watkins also commented, “I want to pass on my sincere thanks to Martin for all his help and support over a number of years, even making trips well out of his way when Corey wasn’t playing. He has been an integral part of the backroom staff of this club and been part of some great teams enjoying some fantastic achievements along the way. Martin asked for nothing in return, he’s a truly selfless person that we the club and certainly I, are very grateful for and in his debt.”
