Cricket Day Winners……

St. Georges Sports & Social club hosted the Telford Tigers Cricket Day on Sunday the 30th of July.  It saw a range of players of very mixed abilities take to the St. Georges Cricket pitches to take part in a 6 a side, 6 over format tournament.

The day itself was very well supported with a very good turnout of NIHL1 & 2 players, Tigers Junior Club Teams, Tiger fans and of course the ‘Tigers in Training’ who brought a bit of sparkle to the event, literally!

The overall event was won late in the afternoon by Mike Ross and the boys from St. Georges Cricket Club thrashing the Tigers NIHL 1 team in the final.

The Plate final was a much closer affair with Chris Cousins team coming out victorious. It was a fantastic day to be part of whether you were playing or watching  and the support the Tigers received is much appreciated.

We couldn’t have done it with the help of Helen & Gary Keable from St. Georges Sports & Social Club and Ben Byram who ran the event on the day.

Also special thanks to the numerous people who helped organise stalls, supervised the bouncy castle, BBQ and to those that umpired the matches.

If anyone has pictures from the day they would like to share, please email a link to marketing@telfordtigers.net.

Please keep an eye on the website for future Tiger events.
