Telford Tigers are delighted to announce the latest signing for Telford Tigers 2 for the upcoming season. He’s no stranger to Telford… Welcome back Dan Harrison!
Dan Harrison [or ‘nugget’ as he’s known as] rejoins Telford from local rivals Solihull Barons where he’s iced consecutively since the 2016/17 season. The 30-year-old first started off his hockey career in Telford as part of the Telford Rockets U16 squad. Since then, Harrison has iced in a number of leagues for Telford including U18s, NIHL, ENL and EPIHL.
Tigers 2 Coach Scott McKenzie is delighted to have signed Harrison for the upcoming season commenting:
“Bringing Dan in really solidifies our back end. He has great skating ability, plays physical and will be someone that the younger defencemen can learn off.
I’ve known nugget for many years, played with and against him so I know how big a signing this is for us. He’s a great guy with a team first attitude and we are lucky to have him here in Telford.
Dan already knows a lot of the existing players so fitting into the changing room won’t be a problem for him.”
Harrison is looking forward to joining the Telford Tigers 2 side for the upcoming season commenting;
“I am happy to be coming back to my roots for this season. They’re a great bunch of guys! They had a lot of success last season and I’m confident that we can achieve more this season.
I’m excited to get back on the ice with some old friends and help bring some silverware home at the end of the season. See you all soon!”

In the 2022/23 season, the Tigers again offer individual player sponsorship at £400. The package will include a personalised “special” exclusive third jersey with a company name or family name patch, announcements on match nights, a small advert or logo in the match night programme and a signed player photo. The jersey will be worn for cup and play-off games and will not be available as a replica.
