Double title hope for Telford Tigers. Telford Tigers 1 who compete in the NIHL National division comfortably sit at the top of the respective league table with a 9-point cushion against trailing side Swindon Wildcats. After last weekend’s performance in Basingstoke, Watkins’ men will be looking to continue their away winning streak this coming Saturday in Swindon. Should Tigers take the winning points on the night, they’ll be heading home as 2021/22 National League winners.
Also taking place on Saturday night is some home ice action for the Club’s Telford Tigers 2 side who compete in the Laidler North 2 league. Having maintained a ‘teetering’ top of the table position throughout the season, Tigers 2 will be looking to take the permanent top spot as they welcome back Hull Jets to Telford Ice Rink.
Hull Jets currently trail by two points and have two games in hand against Tigers 2, but it is still possible for Tigers to secure the league title on the night. Should Tigers 2 win the game by two goals clear, they too will be crowded respective League Champions.
Should the results go in Telford Tigers’ favour, a double celebration for the Club and Telford Tigers fans may be on the cards.
Telford Tigers season ticket holders will have access to both of these fixtures inclusive of their season tickets. Match tickets can be purchased for both games online. Entry to Saturday’s game has been reduced to £5 for adults and £3 for children and concessions. Any pre-purchased tickets at the original price will be reimbursed the difference.
