Telford Tigers can confirm that forward Finley Howells has been moved up to the National League side for the remainder of the season.
Howells, a product of the Telford development pathway, has been a standout performer this season with Telford Tigers 2 in their Moralee debut campaign. With changes to his circumstances, he is now able to commit his time to National League hockey once again, making this the ideal opportunity for his return to the higher level.
Known for his speed, intelligence on the puck, Fin’s impact at Moralee level has been undeniable. Watkins and his coaching staff are confident he will bring that same quality, energy, and professionalism back into the National roster.
Club Head Coach Tom Watkins commented on Finley’s move;
“It’s great to welcome Fin back into the team. I’m delighted to add such a talented player with plenty of experience in this league, and someone who will fit straight back into the locker room. This is a very good signing… A Telford kid playing for the Tigers in our 40th season!
The contract is for two seasons which gives us a great start to our recruitment for the 2026/27 season, a great move for both Fin and Telford Tigers.”
The club would also like to thank Finley for his hard work and professionalism during his time with Telford Tigers 2, where he has played a key role in the team’s progression. Telford Tigers remains committed to developing both the National and Moralee squads, and Fin’s progression is a positive step in that direction.
