Double Title Celebrations. Hexagon Telford Tigers are thrilled to announce the planned celebrations for our league title-winning teams, Telford Tigers 1 and Telford Tigers 2.
The final game of the season for Telford Tigers 2 went down to the wire last Saturday when they secured their first-ever League title in a nerve-wracking clash against Hull Jets. Tigers needed a two-goal buffer to take the title. The game finished 4-2, meaning Hexagon Telford Tigers 2 were crowned Laidler League Champions on the night.
Telford Tigers 1 followed suit shortly after, but for them, the League title win had been longly anticipated for several games… After only needing one point to take the title, results in the NIHL National League on Friday evening meant Hexagon Telford Tigers 1 were crowed League Champions of the NIHL National League for a second consecutive season.
This Sunday’s fixture against MK Lightning will conclude the domestic NIHL National league season ahead of the National finals.
As part of this fixture, the Club will be marking the double title-winning success for both teams. This is an opportunity to be part of ice hockey history in Telford. Our Telford Tigers 2 team will join Telford Tigers 1 in what will be extraordinary scenes in celebrating their respective league titles on the ice.
