Off-Ice Team Vacancy: Voluntary Equipment Support

We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on individual to join our National League set-up in a voluntary Equipment Support role, helping behind the scenes at training and game days.

With our long-serving Equipment Manager Andy set to retire at the end of the season, this is a great opportunity to step in immediately, shadow Andy, and play a key role within the team environment.

The Role

Working closely with players, coaches and staff, you’ll help ensure everything off the ice runs smoothly so the team can focus on performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all aspects of team equipment and kit
  • Ensuring players’ gear is safe, functional and game-ready
  • Inventory management and organisation
  • Equipment repairs and maintenance (including skate sharpening)
  • Dressing room set-up for training sessions and game days
  • Supporting home and away fixtures as required

Who We’re Looking For

  • Dependable, organised and willing to learn
  • Comfortable working in a team environment
  • A practical mindset with attention to detail
  • Ice hockey experience is beneficial
  • Ability to travel as required during evening and weekends

Start: ASAP
Location: Training sessions at Telford Ice Rink and away rinks as required on game days
