#7 Tigers add New Import Rory Herrman to the Roster

Tigers add New Import Rory Herrman to the Roster. Hexagon Telford Tigers are pleased to announce the signing of #7 Rory Herrman, the 23 year old forward joins from Cardiff Devils having previously iced for RPI, a Division One programme in the NCAA, the top level of University hockey in the USA.

Herrman is a 6’0”, 200 lbs left shot forward that plays both center and wing.  Herrman has a British passport, and will join up with the Tigers for training this week before being in the lineup on Saturday in Slough against the Bees and will make his home debut on Sunday against Sheffield Steeldogs.

Tom Watkins, Head Coach and General Manager said about signing Rory: “The addition of Rory comes at a great time for us as a team, a real shot in the arm and pick me up for the boys in the locker room given that captain Jason Silverthorn and Nick Oliver are out for the rest of the season.  With Rory becoming available from the Devils we acted very quickly to add him to the group and having spoken with him and others I feel we are getting a guy who is very hungry and who has a point to prove. He’s played at a very good level in RPI, has good size, likes to play physical, knows his way round the D zone and also looking at his junior numbers playing in the USHL I’m sure he will contribute offensively in this league.

Tom went on to say, “I am delighted to add him to the roster, timing is everything in this game and with the addition of Carlon and O’Flaherty along with Herrman I’m looking for the team to turn a corner quickly.” Rory’s Individual Player Sponsorship is available for a special rate of £200 and his #7 Own and Loans shirts (£125) are all available from the Tigers online shop.
