Telford Tigers are pleased to welcome forward Oliver King to the club ahead of the 2026/27 season, joining Tigers 2 on a two-way agreement with the Glasgow Clan.
The 22-year-old right-shot centre arrives in Telford having gained experience across several levels of the British game, alongside a season in Canada with the Kelowna Chiefs.
King has previously represented Whitley Warriors in NIHL 1, as well as Edinburgh Capitals and Paisley Pirates in the Scottish National League. Last season, he recorded nine points from 18 regular-season appearances for Paisley and also featured twice for Glasgow Clan in the Elite League Cup.
Telford Tigers Coach Jason Silverthorn commented on the signing of King;
“Ollie comes to us on a two way from the Braehead Glasgow Clan as a right hand shot centre. As a young player with some experience at the top level, he shows great capability and understanding when hunting pucks, holding pucks, protecting pucks, and then being able to bring his teammates into the offence.
One of the things I like most about his game is the fact that he competes all over the ice , when he loses battles he doesn’t quit on the play, when he sees loose pucks he’s the first on it. His decision making and puck management is something that we’re going to try and help him with going forward as well as we’re going to the defensive side of the game.”
The club is delighted to welcome Ollie to the Tigers and looks forward to seeing him in action during the 2026/27 season.
