Telford Tigers are pleased to announce the details of the first pre-season fixtures of the 2023/24 season. Telford Tigers will take on 2022/23 National Cup Champions Peterborough Phantoms.
The two challenge games will be played back to back in September, with Tigers making the first away trip to the Planet Ice Arena in Peterborough on Saturday 16th September.
Telford Tigers, who narrowly missed out on a spot in the National Playoff final last season will then host Peterborough Phantoms in the second fixture of the pre-season weekend the following day.
The home fixture will take place at Telford Ice Rink on Sunday 17th September, with a 6:00pm face-off.
Telford Tigers General Manager and Head Coach Tom Watkins is looking forward to the two challenge games commenting:
“The Phantoms will be a great challenge for us. They were on great form last season and will no doubt showcase a similar performance again this season. The first few weeks of the season are always tough, but this series will be a really good test for us and help us get back into the swing of things. They’ve got a good roster with tough and experienced players, so we’re expecting to have a good battle against them before the league kicks off.”
Tickets for the game in Telford will NOT be part of the season ticket package and fans will need to purchase tickets separately for this game. Details of ticket prices and on-sale dates etc. will be announced soon.
