Telford Tigers are pleased to announce that Dan Retter will be returning to the club for the 2024/25 season.
Retter played a key part in the double winning Laidler League and Cup team last season. The 26-year-old started his hockey career with local rivals Solihull Barons, icing for the U18s and U20 sides before joining Telford in 2022. Dan will wear the number 15 shirt in the forthcoming season.
Retter commented on his signing for the club:
“I’m looking forward to my third year playing for the Tigers, the first 2 years have been very successful, winning the cup twice as well as the league and play off and I’m sure we’ll be competing for more silverware this year. I’m excited to get going again in September with the new coaching team and I’m hoping I can keep improving and put up more points this year.”
Andy Watt, Tigers 2 Coach, commented on the signing:
“It’s great to have Retts back for another year! Over the past two seasons, Dan has transitioned his game and we are starting to see the potential he has. With more game time this season I feel we will see the best of him.”
