Telford Tigers 2 are pleased to confirm that Xander Robinson has been added to the roster for the upcoming 2026/27 NIHL North Division 1 campaign.
The young prospect joins the senior ranks permanently after catching the eye of the coaching staff during summer sessions and proving his potential at the club’s recent talent identification event.
Robinson has already demonstrated several qualities that suggest he has a bright future ahead, with his hockey intelligence and ability to influence play standing out during his early appearances with the club.
Tigers 2 Coach Jason Silverthorn believes Robinson’s style of play will make him an exciting addition to the Tigers lineup this season.
“Xander is another young player who comes to us full-time this year after skating a few times this summer and impressing at our talent identification skate, being a player that the puck seems to follow around.
He shows good awareness and decision-making with the puck on both the offensive and defensive side of the game, with an ability to find teammates in areas that most players his age don’t.He likes to play the give-and-go game, which will suit some of our top players and is important at the senior level as a younger player who is still maturing physically.
I am looking forward to working with this player, helping him to continue his development and supporting him in taking the next step.”
