Telford Tigers 2 confirm Alfie Duguid signing for 2026/27

The club are thrilled to announce the signing of netminder Alfie Duguid for Tigers 2’s upcoming 2026/27 NIHL North Division 1 campaign.

After making appearances for Tigers 2 on an emergency basis last season, Duguid returns to Telford on a two-way agreement as he continues his development within the club’s pathway.

The young netminder made a positive impression during his time with the club in 2025/26, demonstrating strong technical ability and a determined approach between the pipes. He will continue to train with the Tigers throughout the season while providing additional depth in the club’s goaltending department.

Tigers 2 Head Coach Jason Silverthorn believes Duguid has already shown he has the qualities needed to succeed at this level.

“Having played for us last year on an emergency basis, Alfie has really impressed as a young goaltender at this level. We were really happy to get him signed on a two-way agreement, where he will practise with us and play as our third goalie when he doesn’t have games of his own.

He showed good technique and competed for every puck during his two appearances for us at the NIHL North 1 level last year, and we look forward to continuing his development within the Tigers organisation.”
