Telford Tigers are pleased to welcome highly rated netminder Luca Tessadri to the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The young netminder joins Telford Tigers 2 on an inter-club two-way agreement and is set to play an important role across both teams this season, gaining valuable ice time while continuing his development within the Tigers’ programme.
Having represented Great Britain at junior level and impressed during his time with Widnes Wild last season, Tessadri arrives in Telford with a growing reputation and plenty of potential.
Tigers 2 Head Coach Jason Silverthorn believes Tessadri has all the attributes required to make an impact this season.
“Luca comes to us with a lot of excitement, having shown promise as a young goalie in the England set-up as a youngster. He starred, in my opinion, last season for Widnes in a very competitive league.
Having first reached out to Tommy looking for a National league opportunity, I jumped at the chance to sign Luca, and we all decided it was best for his development to get game minutes while also getting practice time and game time at a National level with a two-way agreement.
He is a shot stopper who competes for every puck and shows a willingness to learn and grow, which is exactly what we want in the Tigers organisation.”
