Telford Tigers are pleased to announce the signing of forward Matt Maurice, who joins the club’s Telford Tigers 2 side from NIHL North 1 rivals Solihull Barons. Matt will join the Tigers 2 roster this weekend wearing the number #15 jersey.
Maurice arrives in Telford with a strong reputation as a hard-working, physical forward who isn’t afraid to battle in the tough areas of the ice. Known for his energy, commitment, and ability to make an impact at both ends of the rink, he adds valuable depth to the Tigers’ roster as the team pushes into the second half of the season.
Telford Tigers 2 Coach Jason Silverthorn shared his thoughts on the new addition:
“Matt is a well-known player in the Moralee league and we’re lucky to have him come on board. He competes hard every shift and plays the type of hockey that fits our identity. I really like his overall game, he’s hard on pucks, wins battles, can make plays, and has real offensive upside. It’s exactly what we’ve needed down the left side to bring more balance to our forward group. We’re excited to see what he can bring to the team.”
Maurice also expressed his excitement about joining Telford Tigers 2:
