Telford Tigers are delighted to announce the latest addition to the off-ice support team with Richard Mothersdale being appointed as the new Team Manager, signalling an exciting new era for the club and our passionate fanbase.
Richard will be taking the role of NIHL National Team Manager for the 2023/24 season as Tigers embark on the new campaign in their quest for silverware. He will provide support to General Manager and Head Coach Tom Watkins assisting in player and team management allowing Tom to concentrate on the wider management of the club and coaching the National Team.
Richards extensive management experience in industry will allow him to bring many positive attributes and management skills to the role. As a member of the Travelling 6, along with his daughter Ellie he will be a familiar face to many within the Tigers organisation and his love for the sport and Telford Tigers is second to none, having attended almost every home and away game over the last few seasons.
Talking about his new role, Richard commenting;
“I am very pleased and feel honoured to be chosen to take the role of National Team Manager. I’ve been a huge fan of the Tigers for quite a few years now and relish the opportunity to give something back to the Tigers organisation. My day job as a Senior Project Manager for a major international civil engineering consultancy gives me skills and experience I am sure will transfer well to this role. Everyone at the Tigers have been most welcoming so far and I am really looking forward to working with the team over the course of the season.”

“I’m delighted to be able to add Richard to the team. He will be working closely to support myself and I’m sure with his expertise and experience he will be a very welcome addition to the team.
