Hexagon Telford Tigers are delighted to announce the return of the Club’s annual Teddy Bear Toss event.
Telford Tigers fans will once again have an opportunity to donate their teddies and soft toys when our National side take on Swindon Wildcats on Sunday 12th December at Telford Ice Rink.
The last few Teddy Bear Toss events have been an enormous success, having seen over one thousand plush toys thrown onto the ice from both home and away supporters over the years, and the Club hopes to achieve the same again this year.
Our last Teddy Toss Event was back in December 2019 where, staff and patients on the Children’s Ward at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford were treated to some special visitors as Telford Tigers Head Coach and General Manager Tom Watkins spent time delivering the donated teddy bears alongside players and volunteers from the Club and not to mention, Roary the Tigers who also made a special appearance!
All donated teddies will be distributed across local Hospitals, Hospices and Charities; all who which have children in need of care. It’s very simple to take part and even a small donated teddy will make a big difference – there are three simple rules…
- Please only donate new, clean soft teddy bears or toys.
- Make sure your teddy bear is securely wrapped/tied in a plastic bag.
- When Hexagon Telford Tigers score their first goal… Toss your Teddy!
Telford Tigers would like to thank you to everyone who has supported this wonderful event over the past few years and hopes to see lots of generous donations again this year. Let’s see them teddies fly!
