Telford Tigers Forge Partnership with Elite Side Belfast Giants

Telford Tigers are thrilled to announce a two-way partnership with the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) team, Belfast Giants. This exciting collaboration will see rising stars Finley Howells and Rhodes Mitchell-King available for selection by the Giants when the Tigers do not have fixtures, providing invaluable experience and development opportunities for the young talents.

The announcement came in on the Elite side’s official podcast A View From The Bridge on Monday night with Finley Howells joining the podcast team himself for the news.

The partnership reflects Telford Tigers’ commitment to nurturing players and offering pathways to higher levels of competition. It also underscores the strong relationship between the two clubs, aimed at mutual growth and development.

Club Head Coach Tom Watkins expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating:

“This is a great opportunity for both Rhodes & Finn to experience what is required to play at the next level, exposing them to and reinforcing the on and off ice habits that are expected to be an Elite League player.

Telford Tigers are keen to build upon the connection with a great club like the Belfast Giants and value the investment Adam Keefe and his coaching staff will be making to aid the development of both Rhodes & Finn.”

This collaboration will not only benefit Howells and Mitchell-King by providing them with elite-level playing experience but also strengthen Tigers’ squad through the enhanced skills and knowledge the players will bring back.

Fans of both teams can look forward to seeing Howells and Mitchell-King in action across both leagues, gaining the best of both worlds in terms of coaching, competition, and experience. Telford Tigers and the Giants are excited about the positive impact this partnership will have on their players and the broader hockey community.
