Telford Tigers can confirm that defencman Calean McPhee will be unavailable for selection after sustaining a serious injury during last weekend’s game against the Swindon Wildcats. Following medical assessment, Calean is expected to be out of action for an extended period of time. Everyone at the club wishes him a full and speedy recovery.
In response, Telford Tigers have moved to bolster the defensive unit with the return of Nick Oliver, who will joining the roster and is available to play this weekend.
Telford Tigers Head Coach and General Manager Tom Watkins said:
“Nick has trained with us regularly through pre-season and again in recent weeks, so he steps straight back into the group with ease. He’s well-known to everyone in the room, understands our systems and how we want to play, and will slot seamlessly into the dressing room. There’s no doubt he’ll make an immediate impact and be a valuable addition to the club.”
