Telford Tigers secure Jed Moreland – Two-fold! Telford Tigers are pleased to announce that the 18-year-old forward will be returning to the club following a spell of successful seasons with Telford Tigers 1.
Moreland made his senior Tigers debut in 2017 where he was icing for the U18s Tigers squad simultaneously. The youngster played a similar season last year where he appeared on the Tigers 1 roster for 31 games of the season.
This upcoming season will see Jed ice for both Telford Tigers 1 and Telford Tigers 2. The Club are delighted to give Moreland the opportunity to ice in the National League whilst also gaining invaluable experience and developing while icing for Tigers 2 in the NIHL Laidler league.
Tigers 2 coach Fielder has worked with Jed in previous seasons and is looking forward to working with him in a senior outfit commenting;
“Jed is another player I’ve worked with for most of his junior career. After a couple of seasons with Tigers 1, myself and Tom thought that developing Jed through ice time with Tigers 2 would be a great opportunity for him. At only 18, Jed is a big forward with lots of speed and skill; he should be getting at least 30 points this season and help lead us into a great campaign.”
Moreland is looking forward to working with both Dave and Tom as well as the two rosters respectively commenting;
“I am very happy to be returning to Telford for the forthcoming season. I’m looking forward to getting back on the ice and working with Tom and Ces on a two way; I know that this move will help my development as a hockey player. It’s going to be a challenging year, but we are aiming to get as much silverware as possible for both teams!”

Again, for the 2019/20 season, Telford Tigers are offering individual player sponsorship at £200. The package will include a personalised ‘SPECIAL’ exclusive third jersey with either a company name or family name patch, announcements on match nights, a small advert or logo in the match night programmes and a signed player photo. The jersey will be worn for cup games and play-off games and will not be available to purchase as a replica.
