In an exciting development for Telford Tigers fans, the club can confirm the signing of Canadian forward, Jaden Peca. For the 2023/24 season, Jaden will be wearing #51 jersey.
The 24-year old’s journey in hockey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Prior to joining Telford Tigers, he made waves in various junior leagues in Canada and had played in the University Sports league and the Ontario Hockey League. The signing marks a significant step forward for both Jaden and Telford Tigers, as they gear up for an action-packed NIHL season.
Head Coach Tom Watkins is delighted to have signed Jaden to the Tigers’ roster commenting;
“We’re delighted to get Jaden on board with us, everything has moved very quickly, we have a player that is very keen to come to play for Telford Tigers.He has past experience of playing with Jesse Sutton so that relationship has certainly helped in this instance for both Jaden and ourselves.
Jaden is the type of player I’ve been looking for since Brady unfortunately had to pull out. He’s a gritty winger that ticks a lot of boxes and I think he will help us in all areas as he is someone that competes on both sides of the puck. He is someone I think the fans will appreciate, very tenacious , relentless and hard working player, he’ll never shy away from a battle. He’s a good skater and likes to play a physical game but can also put the puck in the back of the net as you can see from his stats in the OHL.”
Jaden is thoroughly looking forward to joining Telford Tigers this season, commenting;
“I’m super excited to be joining the team and the community of Telford. I’ve seen and heard nothing but great energy and support from the fans, players and coaching staff. I’m really looking forward to this season, meeting you all and playing for the Tigers.”
Whilst Jaden is unavailable to play for today’s fixture against Sheffield Steeldogs, it is hopeful that he will be making his debut at the home fixture against Hull Seahawks on Sunday 15th October.
