Telford Tigers are pleased to announce details of an upcoming talent identification opportunity, offering players the chance to showcase their ability and take the next step within the club’s development pathway.
The trial will take place on Saturday 27th June at Telford Ice Rink, running from 4:15pm until 6:15pm and is open to players aged 16 and over who are looking to progress their hockey careers within Telford Tigers.
As part of the club’s ongoing commitment to developing local talent, the session will give players the opportunity to skate in front of coaches from across the organisation, including Club Head Coach Tom Watkins and Telford Tigers 2 Head Coach Jason Silverthorn.
The on-ice session has been designed to create a competitive environment where players can demonstrate their skills and hockey awareness, and will include:
Two 20-minute periods of 5-on-5 gameplay
10 minutes of 4-on-4 hockey
10 minutes of 3-on-3 hockeySmall area games to conclude the session
Players will be coached throughout by members of the Telford Tigers coaching staff, with evaluations carried out by the club’s senior coaching team.
Successful participants may be considered for opportunities including NIHL National and NIHL North 1 team selection, two-way opportunities within the club and progression through the club’s established development pathway.
All participants will receive clear feedback on their performance, including areas for development and guidance on potential next steps. Individual feedback will also be available.
