Telford Tigers are still busy behind the scenes securing more players ahead of the fast-approaching new season and today, the club would like to welcome back defenceman, Connor Keyes!
The 26-year-old developed through the Solihull hockey system appearing on the rosters for Solihull Barons and Knights through his late teens’ years. The 2015/16 saw the defenceman sign for Coventry Blaze NIHL, where he iced for two full seasons before making the move to Telford Tigers early on in the 2017/18 season. Since then, Connor has made his mark at Telford and has become a solid defenceman which the team can rely on.
Telford Tigers 2 coaching team Scott McKenzie and Doug Wildman are pleased to have signed Keyes for the upcoming season commenting:
“We’re very pleased to have Connor back this year. He plays a good up and down defenceman job and is always available to join the play. He’s a player who is prepared to block shots and play a solid d-zone. Connor is a guy we want to see remain consistent and be a leader.”
Connor is also looking forward to returning to Telford Tigers commenting;
“After a long wait, I’m really looking forward to the upcoming season. I’m excited to be back playing for Telford and can’t wait to get started. I’m sure with Scott and Doug’s leadership this year, the team will be competing for a position at the top of the table.”
Connor’s own and loan shirts are available to order now for £75 each (Home and Away). Please see the Tigers’ Online Shop for details.
