The club can confirm that Telford Tigers 2 captain Oli Hunt will miss the remainder of the season following an injury sustained during the side’s away fixture in Nottingham last month.
Oli has since undergone surgery and has now begun his recovery period. Everyone at the club is hopeful that his rehabilitation progresses well and that he will be back on his feet in the near future; particularly with an exciting milestone ahead, as he and his wife Penny prepare to welcome their first baby.
Oli has been a key figure for Tigers 2 both on and off the ice, leading by example throughout the campaign. His presence in the dressing room and on the ice will undoubtedly be missed during the closing stages of the season.
In his absence, Dan Harrison, #10 will take on the captaincy for the remainder of the season, stepping up to lead the team through the final fixtures.
Telford Tigers would like to place on record their full support for Oli at this time and wish him all the very best with his recovery. The players and staff alike send their support and look forward to seeing him back at the rink as soon as possible.
