Telford Tigers 2 are still very busy building a solid roster for the upcoming season and today we have some exciting news as we welcome back James Callagher!
The 24-year-old has played hockey in Telford since 2007 and has made an appearance on several rosters including Telford Rockets and Trojans before making his debut appearance for Telford Tigers NIHL in 2014. Since then, Callagher has pulled a Tigers jersey for three seasons with the upcoming season becoming his fourth.
After a season out, Callagher came back to Tigers 2 for the 2017/18 season; committed and motivated to make progress with the team. Tigers 2 player coach Bowley is looking forward to having James back on the Tigers 2 roster commenting;
“Having James back is great news, as he was one of the most consistent players last season and brought a great level of intensity to the team. He always gives one hundred percent every time he steps out on the ice, he finishes his hits and proved to be a very reliable player in all areas of the ice. Every team needs a player like James so I’m glad he’s back for another season with us.”
Callagher is delighted to be returning to Telford Tigers for another season and had the following to say;
“Great to be back for another season with the tigers 2, hopefully we can capitalise on a great end to last season. I want to progress in my game and having a great team behind me should enable me to do this.”

New for 2018/19 Tigers are offering individual player sponsorship at £200. The package includes a personalised ‘special’ third jersey with a company name or family name patch, announcements on match nights, a small advert or logo in the match night programmes and a signed player photo.
