Telford Tigers 2 take centre stage this weekend at home as they face off against Sheffield Senators on Sunday at Telford Ice Rink, face off at 6pm.
Coach Callum Bowley looking ahead to the game took time to look at the Tigers 2 teams start to the season. Bowley said “ We’ve picked up some good results, notably against Coventry Blaze, but struggled against Altrincham Aces. We didn’t get going at all in the first period but improved in the second and third, but we are improving and getting stronger all the time. There won’t be a repeat of that score line again. All in all, the players are starting to gel and we are making progress.”
Bowley added “ We’ve had a lot of new guys join the roster for this season and we haven’t had that much time together yet, but I’m happy with how the new guys are adapting to the style of play, the lines are starting to gel, everyone is working hard and enjoying it which for me is important. Looking ahead I’m feeling positive about the season and the progress we can make.” Coach Bowley continued, “I’m expecting a tough game at home against Sheffield Senators, they’ve shown their ability in taking Altrincham to overtime and we’ll need to be ready for the challenge, but we have a full roster, we’re getting stronger and we are ready to go, we’ll be looking to take the win and collect the two points on offer.”
