Tigers 2 secure Connor Keyes!

Telford Tigers are still busy behind the scenes securing more players and today we welcome back defenceman, Connor Keyes!

The 23-year-old is another player who has come through the Solihull hockey system appearing on the rosters for Solihull Barons and Knights during his teen hockey years. The 2015/16 saw the defenceman sign for Coventry Blaze NIHL, where he iced for two full seasons before making the move to Telford Tigers early on in the 2017/18 season.

Tigers 2 player coach Bowley is thrilled to have Keyes back on board for the upcoming season commenting;

“Connor came in just after the start of the season and proved to be a really important signing. He surprised me with how consistent his performances were, how strong he was in one on one situations and how he read and reacts in all three zones. He’s a solid stay at home defencemen, a very much team-first kind of player and backs up his team mates when needed. I only see him getting better and glad to have him back on board.”

Keyes, who will be returning for his second season at Telford Tigers is delighted to be returning commenting;

“I’m excited to be re-signing for my 2nd season with the Tigers. Last season we worked as a team really well. This year we will be put together a solid performance and improve from last season.”

Connor’s #29 own and loan shirts are available to order now for £50 each (Home and Away). Please see the own and loan registration page for more details and to register.

New for 2018/19 Tigers are offering individual player sponsorship at £200. The package includes a personalised ‘special’ third jersey with a company name or family name patch, announcements on match nights, a small advert or logo in the match night programmes and a signed player photo.
