Telford Tigers are pleased to announce another addition to the Tigers 2 roster! Defence-man Josh Hustwick is back in a Tigers 2 jersey!
Hustwick is another product of the Telford junior hockey system, progressing through all the Telford teams; Venom, Trojans, Titans and Tigers. The 22-year old who has played NIHL hockey for the past six seasons in Telford is delighted to be returning to the Tigers 2 roster for the 2018/19 campaign.
Hustwick has come off what has been a great 2017/18 season for Tigers 2 accumulating a respectful 35 points; resulting in becoming one of the top point scorers for defencemen in the NIHL North 2 league. Additionally, Hustwick also managed to bag the end of season award for Tigers 2 best defenceman, voted for by Telford Tigers supporters.
Player coach Bowley is delighted to have Hustwick back on board for Tigers 2 commenting:
“Josh is a player most coaches would want on their team. He’s very coachable, wears his heart on his sleeve, has a good release and always makes a good first pass. Personally, he’s my type of defenseman, he’s strong in one on one situations and can jump in offensive rushes to add more of an attacking threat. Josh returning is another step in the right direction and I’m pleased to welcome him back.”
Hustwick is thoroughly looking forward to returning to the Tigers 2 roster and had this to say:
“I’m happy to be back for another season, last year we bounced back in the second half of the season and put a good run together and we were unlucky not to get something out of it! This year we will I think be a lot stronger for the start of the season and with Callum as coach I don’t see any reason why we can’t win any silverware. Personally, I can’t wait to get going and I am really looking forward to it.”

New for 2018/19 Tigers are offering individual player sponsorship at £200. The package includes a personalised ‘special’ third jersey with a company name or family name patch, announcements on match nights, a small advert or logo in the match night programmes and a signed player photo.
