Tigers 2 snap up Croyle!

Telford Tigers are delighted to announce the signing of Matt Croyle for the upcoming 2022/23 season.

Croyle joins Telford from Oxford City Stars where he iced during the 2021/22 season in the NIHL South 1 Britton league. Last season, Croyle put up a respectable 89.4% save percentage, but previous seasons has seen Croyle’s stats hit over 90%.

Croyle is no stranger to the Laidler league having played for clubs such as Widnes Wild where he played for three seasons and Sheffield Senators.

Tigers 2 Coach Scott McKenzie is delighted to have signed Croyle for the upcoming season commenting:

“After losing Zack, I felt like we needed to find a goalie that has a good level of experience at this level and above and I believe we have found that in Matt. Having won league titles in this league before, we have signed a winner, with a winning mentality which is hugely important. I’m excited to see Matt play in a Tigers shirt and we are lucky to have a goalie of his quality joining us.”

Croyle is looking forward to joining the Telford Tigers 2 side commenting;

“I’m super excited to be joining such a strong team at Telford this year. I can’t wait to get started and build on last seasons performance. Looking forward to seeing what we can achieve.”

Own and loan shirts are available for £75 each (Home and Away). Please see the Tigers online shop for details.

In the 2022/23 season, the Tigers again offer individual player sponsorship at £400. The package will include a personalised “special” exclusive third jersey with a company name or family name patch, announcements on match nights, a small advert or logo in the match night programme and a signed player photo. The jersey will be worn for cup and play-off games and will not be available as a replica.
