Tigers 2 to face Sting in Playoff Semi-Final. Hexagon Telford Tigers 2 concluded their domestic season last weekend as 2022/23 Laidler League runners up and go straight into facing Sutton Sting in the Laidler Final Four Semi-final.

The Laidler Final Four weekend taking place in Widnes, comes a week after Tigers 2 playing their final three games in five days.

After winning the rearranged fixture against Sutton Sting on Wednesday 22nd March, Tigers 2 were still in the running for the league title however, their trip to Hull three days later wasn’t the result they were hoping for. After a 7-4 defeat for Tigers, the 2022/23 Laidler League title was handed to Hull Jets.

Tigers then went on to host Sheffield Titans on home ice the following day where they scooped up a 12-2 win to conclude the team’s league games of the season.

Telford Tigers 2 will be back in action this weekend coming where they will be up against Sutton Sting in the semi-final of the Laidler Final Four Playoffs weekend on Saturday 1st April. Facing off at 7:30pm at Planet Ice Widnes, Tigers 2 will be looking to take a win into the Sunday [2nd April] when the Laidler Playoff Final will be played.

In the other semi-final, league champions Hull Jets will be up against fourth place Altrincham Aces, facing off at an earlier time of 4:15pm.
