Tigers Announce Coaching Duo

Telford Tigers are pleased to announce the return of assistant coaches Barry Hollyhead and Karl Creamer for the 2025/26 season. Karl and Barry will return behind the bench to provide support to Tom Watkins.

Tom Watkins, Head Coach and General Manager, commented on the return of Hollyhead and Creamer.

“’As we approach the 40th anniversary season retaining the support of Karl and Barry was extremely important to me. They have both been by my side for a long time, both former Tigers players who have given the Tigers great service over the years, huge commitment, loyalty and both have played their part in the most successful era of Tigers Hockey. There aren’t many guys in Tigers history that will have put as many years into the club as both Karl and Barry have.

They bring me consistency, reliability, understanding of what I want from my team and what it takes to get to the right level.

Karl is a very good communicator and provides me with a different outlook on situations and Barry has a good understanding of the tendencies of teams/players breaking down systems in games and can also support our goaltenders from his past experiences, so as a trio I feel it is a very good mix that works well together.

Karl was an original member of the first Tigers team in 1985 and as we approach this anniversary season, I think having Karl return this season is special for the club and a nod to all the past players who have represented the club in that period.”
