Telford Tigers can today confirm a number of retained players who will return to the club ahead of the 2026/27 NIHL National League season, as preparations continue for another competitive campaign in the jungle.
Among the returning names are Scott McKenzie, Louie Newell, Harry Ferguson, Brad Day, Deakan Fielder, Nick Oliver, Caelan McPhee, Eric Henderson and Tyler Somerton, all of whom will continue in orange and black for the 2026/27 campaign.
The Tigers can also confirm that youngsters Taylor Stanton and James Mather will remain part of the National League setup. Both players featured across the season on two-way arrangements with Telford Tigers 2 and continue to progress through the club’s development pathway.
In addition, the club is pleased to confirm that Danny Rose has signed a new two-year agreement, keeping him in Telford through the 2027/28 season.
Speaking on the retained group, Telford Tigers General Manager and Head Coach Tom Watkins said the club were pleased to secure a solid foundation early in the summer.
“The players returning give us a strong core to build around heading into the new season. There’s a good mix of experience, character, leadership and younger players developing through the system.”
The club can also confirm that Patrick Brown, Kris Fugalis and Bryn Capps and David Thomson will not be returning for the 2026/27 season.

Supporters are reminded that discussions remain ongoing with several members of last season’s roster, with further player announcements to follow in due course. Any players not named in this announcement are yet to be confirmed for the 2026/27 season.
