Telford Tigers mourn James Lu

Telford Tigers are extremely sad to announce the death of regular Tigers commentator, match night announcer, podcast host and supporter James Lu. Dad of two James, passed away earlier today, leaving behind two children, and wife Suzie.

General Manager Tom Watkins said “I’m devastated that my good friend James Lu has sadly passed away today. We are all totally devastated by this sad news. I’m so So proud to call James a friend, he’s the greatest, kindest, friendliest man. He loved his family so much and my heart goes out to Suzie, Oli & Josh, James parents family & friends. James was not just a great friend to me, but many in the Telford Tigers hockey community will be very saddened by this news. He took on many roles for us a hockey club, very organised, very professional and always smiling. We will all miss him greatly. Fly high, my friend. Love you forever Jimbo 💔

Mike Washburn, Chairman said “James was a real gentleman and a true friend of all at Telford Tigers. We will always remember his beaming smile and jovial view of the world. This is a sad loss that cannot be replaced. Few people possess the personal qualities and good nature of this truly amazing and individual person. A real friend to all who will be missed forever. Our thoughts are with Suzie, Oli and Josh – Telford Tigers will never forget the contribution made and the joy that James has brought to our hockey family.”
