Tigers support Telford Crisis Support.  At the beginning of January, just after the Christmas and New Year holidays, The Hexagon sponsored Telford Tigers organised a food drive in aid of Telford Crisis Support.

Over the weekend of the 5th and 6th January 2019, Tigers fans of both Tigers 1 and Tigers 2 donated food items and hygiene products at the two home games.

The collection was a massive success with 100’s of different items collected which will all go to help Telford Crisis support fulfil their mission that no-one needs to go without the basic essentials, to keep themselves and their families sheltered, fed, clean, clothed, warm and healthy.

Tom, General Manager of the Telford Tigers said “Every year we try and do our bit for various different community projects, we very much rely on volunteers to help run the Tigers. The Tigers have been a big part of the local community for over 30 years. Community spirit is very important to us all at the club and when we can help support others in our local area we are more than happy to help. We are very grateful to our fantastic fans and players who donated to such a worthy cause.”

Telford Crisis Support Foodbank, has been in operation for the past five years and has provided food parcels for individuals and families all over Telford. In 2018, they received just under 3027 referrals from social services, homeless charities, NHS, Schools just to name a few, to provide a total of 5629 meals for people in need and Telford Tigers are proud to be able to help give a little back to our local community at what can be a very challenging time of year.
