Watt’s that? Kyle is Back!

Telford Tigers are delighted to announce the return of young forward Kyle Watt for the 2024/25 season.

The 18 year old debuted for the Laidler Division team during the 2022/23 season whilst still playing junior hockey and will step up to senior level permanently after the U18 season ended in July. Watt registered 9 points last season, scoring his first goal at senior level and will wear the number 61 shirt.

Watt commented on his signing for the club:

“I am delighted to be returning to the Telford Tigers 2 team for the forthcoming season and wanted to thank the outgoing coaches for giving me my first opportunities whilst still being part of the junior set up. Having experienced the success with the team over the past 2 seasons, I am now fully focused and ready to step up on a full-time basis and have been working hard off the ice to improve my game. Having seen my game evolve over the past 2 years, I am really looking forward to this season and helping the team achieve. I look forward to seeing you all in September. Let’s go Tigers!”

Andy Watt, Tigers 2 Coach, commented on the signing:

After coming off his last 2 years of junior hockey with impressive numbers and experience with the Tigers 2 team, we are pleased Kyle is back with the Tigers. This is a big year for him to step up and make his mark.”
