Hexagon Telford Tigers are pleased to announce the signing of Geoff Wigglesworth to the Club’s Laidler side.
The addition of Geoff is a welcomed boost for the team following some injuries to key players in recent games. This will be Geoff’s debut in a Tigers jersey after icing for Blackburn Hawks, Widnes Wild and Deeside Dragons in the past.
Geoff brings depth and experience to Tigers 2 having played hockey for over 20 years which the club’s Laidler side will be looking to advantage from as they push into the final few months of the season.
Telford Tigers 2 Coach Scott McKenzie is delighted to have Geoff on board commenting;
“It’s great to have Geoff join us here in Telford. He cannot commit to all games due to family and work commitments, but he does add a good amount of experience and injury cover for us. We have picked up some injuries to some key players, so bringing a player of Geoff’s ability in at this time is a massive coup for us.
I look forward to seeing Geoff in a tigers Jersey. He is certainly someone who plays for the logo on the front and not the name on the back.”
Geoff is also delighted to have signed for Tigers 2 commenting:
“I’m looking forward to getting to work and the challenges that lie ahead. I have plenty more in the tank, and I’m looking forward to helping make an impact on the league.
To be back under the guidance of Scott is great, and hopefully he’ll get me back up to speed in order to help the team in a positive way. I’ve nothing to prove to anyone, I’m just excited to have the opportunity to play hockey again and for my three boys to see me skate out in a Tigers jersey.”

In the 2022/23 season, the Tigers again offer individual player sponsorship at £400. The package will include a personalised “special” exclusive third jersey with a company name or family name patch, announcements on match nights, a small advert or logo in the match night programme and a signed player photo. The jersey will be worn for cup and play-off games and will not be available as a replica.
