Zack Brown joins Tigers 2

Zach Brown

Telford Tigers 2 are delighted to have signed talented 21-year-old net minder Zack Brown from division one side Hull Pirates. Zack signed just in time for the weekend and back stopped the Tigers 2 to an impressive 3-4 away win over the Sutton Sting at Ice Sheffield on Sunday, recording a save percentage of 94.34% in the process. Having iced for the Hull Pirates this season, Zack brings experience to the Telford Tigers 2 line-up and Coach Bowley was pleased to be able to secure his services after Louis Edwards decided to leave the team, stating:

“I’m pleased to have signed Zack as he’s a talented goalie who will make a huge difference to our team, both on and off the ice. I thought he had a really good first weekend for us, he made some big saves at crucial moments, gave us a chance to win on both nights and has slotted nicely in the dressing room. I expect him to form a solid partnership with Ted and give us opportunities to win every time we step out on the ice.”

After signing for Telford Tigers 2, Zack was pleased to make the switch and had the following to say:

“I’m pleased that I’ve been able to join the team giving the situation over at Hull. Cal, Mike and Martin have done a great job of making it all possible. From what I can tell, we’ve got a great room of guys who are all looking to make the playoffs so if I can give us a chance to win every night then it’s always a possibility to do it. I look forward to the new challenge that lies ahead.”
